Welcome Dr Grace Lee Back to Mountain Gate Medical Centre

We are delighted to welcome Dr Grace Lee back to Mountain Gate Medical Centre as a GPT4 General Practice Registrar.

Many of our patients will remember Dr Grace from her previous placement with our practice as a GPT1 Registrar. During her time with us, she was appreciated for her warm, compassionate approach and her commitment to listening carefully to her patients.

Dr Grace enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has gained broad clinical experience in General Medicine, Mental Health, Paediatrics and Chronic Disease Management. She is committed to providing personalised, patient-centred care for people of all ages.

Dr Grace is available Monday to Friday and is welcoming both new and returning patients.

Flu Vaccinations

Annual influenza vaccination is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over. It is particularly important for:

  • Children aged under 5 years
  • Adults aged 65 years and over
  • People of any age with chronic medical conditions that increase their risk of severe influenza

The influenza vaccine is free under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) for eligible patients. For patients who are not eligible, the vaccine costs $20.

 

Free RSV Vaccine Now Available for Eligible Older Adults

The Victorian Government is now providing a free Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine for eligible patients:

  • Adults aged 75 years and over
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is a common and highly contagious virus that affects the lungs and airways. While it often causes mild cold-like symptoms, it can lead to serious illness and hospitalisation in older adults and those with underlying medical conditions.

If you are eligible, we encourage you to protect yourself by receiving your free RSV vaccination.

 

COVID Vaccinations

All patients over the age of 18 years are elibigle for one Covid booster every 12 months (check that it is 12 months since your last dose and 6 months since a Covid infection).

Covid boosters are particularly important for those who are older than 65, provided the last booster or Covid infection as greater than 6 months ago.

Covid Vaccine appointments can only be booked by phoning the clinic.
